This would fit me, its obviously a superb jacket but ruined by hideous patches. Shame

Agreed, hideous, but if it were my size I'd go for it and remove them (it'll not make anywhere near its true vvalue).

I'd soak them off - either water soluble glue or something organic (trial and error).

I'd start low polarity (hexane or petroleum ether) and become more polar (ethyl acetate); more polar still (alcohol).
Using a well ventilated environment, safety specs and latex/nitrite gloves.

may end up being a good buy with those patches. Yes, maybe worth a low price and have the patches removed carefully. Are you sure they are glued on?

I don't know, but its too small anyway. Still looking for a replacement for the jacket I sent back.
