Hi all,

Here is a nice Group shot taken in Alaska in 1956. Good mix of mid 50's Nylon here.

Too bad the guy 6th from left standing isn't turned a little more forward, that patch would be a good one to see !

Nice mix of B-15D, B-15D Mod, Lion MA-1, L-2A and L-2B or could be an L-2.

May I ask how you are able differentiate between the B-15D mod and the Lion MA-1?

Simply by the zipper pull. Lions had the woven "string" pull, while the B-15D Mod had a leather one. This is just going on my observations and of course zippers and pulls could be switched out. ;)

Danny beat me to it but I'll add the following:

The picture is a little grainy so it's hard to say for sure, but given the year it was taken I seriously doubt all the intermediate jackets with knit collars are MA-1s. The jacket on the individual kneeling at far left appears to have a blackened brass zipper rather than the Lion's telltale Crown, which suggests that it's a B-15D Mod from another maker.
