I'm actually more interested by what that guy second from the left is wearing. Is that a military jacket at all? Not one I recognize (though I'm no expert).

I’d say it was a private purchase jacket, similar to Aero’s Hooch Hauler and the like. Seen several pics of AAF fliers wearing non-issued leather jackets.
