On the front of the jacket you will find the 706th BS unit patch and George's stylized name painted on with a red V with the morse code for V. My research indicates that the red V and the morse code above it was for airmen who were selected towards the end of the war to tour the US on a Victory tour to help recruitment. It was a special assignment and a special honor to be selected.
