there is a small label ''new'' in front of the subject, if you want more details and infos on the photos.

The vehicle looks like it is based on the M-8 scoutcar (I believe it was called the greyhound) chassis but the configuration is unfamiliar to me. Hey who was birdie Schmidt??

Apparently Birdie Schmidt was the ARC (American Red Cross) Program Director.

On looking at pictures of the M-8 this ain't it. It is some type of scoutcar (wheeled) and may have been used by the USAAF for base security. I can find nothing so far on the sites that talk about scout car development for the Army. So remains a mystery vehicle right now. But this was the event was the start of the production of it as the lady is going to whack with a bottle of the bubbly stuff.

the vehicle is based on a Morris scout car mark II

i need time to found it back; i was sure that i already saw it somewhere in my books but wich one...
