Finding deadstock examples never gets old. This Vietnam era Type G-1 was made by Star Sportswear, Mfg. Co. under contract DSA100-68-C-0759 in fiscal year, 1968. It is from the "D" series which is considered by many collectors as the last of the good series.
After this series, the mouton fur collar was replaced by dynal fur (synthetic) and in some cases the goatskin was replaced by cowhide with printed pebble grain to simulate the goatskin texture.
The condition of this jacket is superb. All parts are original to the jacket.
As a bonus, the inspector tag is still present, which is another indicator that this jacket has never been worn.
Needless to say, finding examples in this condition is becoming harder and harder.
Enjoy it!

Jorge
