Just received this incredible, Chapman Parachute & Equipment Co., B-1. A perfect Switlik reproduction! This is made of russet Italian Horsehide. The zipper is a repro vintage riveted zip with Hookless puller... very nice touch. Sheepskin interior is 1/4" which is the exact shade of the original. Buckles are vintage nickel. mid-brown thread and of course, the BIG BEAUTIFUL vintage mouton collar. These are my usual quick pics. But, I'm hoping to get my Son to come down to take some outside pics.

The pattern is there and the B-1 is officially a goer!

Well done!

Thanks for the comments fella's! John truly outdid himself on this baby. I've been trying to get him to do this for some time now as I'm sure others have as well. All I can say is, I'm tickled pink!
As to the actual process, this is a quote from John as I'm sure he won't mind:
"The design is the hardest I've ever pulled off, and I couldn't have done this earlier...it takes four sewing machines to make, and the level of complication is impressive. I can see why this design wasn't continued, as I think it was too hard for the sewers to really pull off".
Till I can get some outdoor pics, here are the pics that John sent me when he finished it. Nice detail shots in there as well.
Thanks again, guys!

What a pleasure it is to be able to utilize the pocket of this bad boy! I've had 3 different B-2 repro's with virtually useless pockets. Too deep and tight for any real use. Sometimes wondered why they even bothered. But, John used the original design. So, now it's as accessible as it was meant to be. Still deep but, this is by design. The usual perfection from John's workbench!
