Named original Dubow 27798

It is a really nice, well preserved Dubow and may have been made toward the end of the 27798 contract. If it did not have the 27798 label is could easily be mistaken for a jacket from their June 1944 contract (1755).

Buy it get the DNA tested Platon! I suspect in order to complete this contract of 50,000 A2s Dubow, not only used horsehide and goatskin but possibly batches of cowhide as well.

"This jacket is a great piece of WW2 history, only for big collectors". How are they going to fit into a 38 then ? :)

I can see why think it might be goatskin, but it does have smoother areas and not the pebbly appearance of goat. It is either horse or cow.
