My paranoia at work....Bill Kelso re-listed thread.

ANybody else getting a "Caution MALWARE!!!!" notice when they try to go onto the thread about the re-listed Bill Kelso?
I contacted the seller about the jacket a few days ago.....questioned why he didn't note who the maker is when he obviously knew, buying the jacket on eBay just a week or so earlier.....and directed him here to help him with jacket ID/etc, if he needed it.

Now I see the thread is in fact "blocked" by a Malware warning!! The auction ended just an short time ago....I am suspicious that a "shill" or false name bidder "purchased" it.

The sellers revenge?

(Yep. Checked again. When I try to go to the last page of the discussion I get blocked with the "Malware!!" page.)

I got through Jeff, and could have posted, but I'm in Oz.... maybe it has something to do with a striped chesire cat with a big grin? ;)

Seller has friends in strange places if he can do that... is it only that tread or other net stuff?

That's the only place.
It's a Chrome warning, says the following;

"Danger: Malware Ahead!
Google Chrome has blocked access to this page on www.vintageleatherjackets.org.
Content from www.smilies.be, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your Mac with malware.
Malware is malicious software that causes things like identity theft, financial loss, and permanent file deletion."

Maybe somebody put a smilie in the thread on that page my browser is alert to?

Jeff, I'm asuming you've tried other computers, or your phone to login? Just trying to ascertain if its 'your' computer or if its your login that causes it. you might want to send a pm to Bill French just to be on the safe side.

I'm receiving the same malware warning on the last page of the thread - maybe there's a link or a picture loading from the banned website.
I'm using Chrome as well - will try with Firefox, just to give it a check.

I have been using smilies from that website for like a year and a half ago or so.
As this is the first report ever related to malware combined with this (smily)website, I'm not sure if it is that website pushing malware into VLJ or if it might be an inappropriate warning from another system. I sometimes get emails from friends that get blocked and quaranteened even though perfectly safe.
I would suppose that other threads where I used these smilies would have been locked/messed up as well.

I can open and read the entire thread anyway, so at first glance it would sound paranoid to blame that seller for it.
If anyone, it would likely be me through these smilies.
It's a Belgian site, I will find a way to blame Marcel for this. ;)

I don't know, maybe some mod could spend some time on this? But then, wouldn't the contends already have been checked?

As others are also experiencing the problem, I suspect it must be a smilie somebody has on that page that my browser is reacting to.

Firefox doesn't give any malware warning - and don't have any problem - opening that same page of the thread.
Chrome does, on a different computer, too.
Maybe it's just a Chrome problem, or the smiley website is on a google block list.
