Movie jacket

Anyone seen the 50’s sci fi movie “The thing from another world “? Couple of a-2’a in it. One is a 2 piece back fake, but the main characters looks pretty authentic. Especially the curled up pocket flaps. Collar reminds me of a dubow, but you guys would know better than me. What’s interesting is it’s had 4 snap’s added around the collar. Almost like it had a detachable hood or something. Any ideas?

I couldn't find too many shots which show these A2s but this might help?
Needless to say, the snaps on the collars are odd.

That’s the one. It has 2 at the front and 2 at the back. I’m thinking it’s an original jacket that the original owner modified. Do you think it’s a dubow?

99% sure it's a Dubow with snaps added for some fur doofus or something, It's a beautiful jacket- fits just right and has perfect patina.

That’s what I thought. The way those pocket flaps are all curled up I’m sure it’s an original. Too bad about the snaps.

It looks like it was made for him. Don’t know the actors name but I’m wondering if it was his jacket and he served.

Just looked him up. Kenneth Toby. Rear gunner in a b-25 in the pacific.
