I would meet the mailman outside of the house and take the jacket and cut all of the knits off the jacket put them in a plastic bag and throw the bag in a dumpster someplace. Then place the jacket in another plastic bag and place it in the freezer for about a week. That should do it.

The collector I bought my painted "Better Duck" Bronco A2 from back in the '80s had had it restored as the knits had not just been eaten by mice but some of the leather on one of the sleeves as well, but it had such beautiful original paint I couldn't resist
