These high quality photos of Mosquito production at Hatfield popped up on a Facebook group recently. Note the jacket being worn by the fella in the cap.
I have a particular fondness for the "Wooden Wonder", Hatfield was part of my old stomping grounds and I had family who worked for De Havilland there. They held brilliant open days and flying displays back in the day. Sadly the factory is no more and the airfield, like so many others, is disappearing under bland developments. Prior to this the location was used to build extensive sets for Saving Private Ryan and Band Of Brothers.
