Monarch on ebay

With the possible exception of a zipper replacement any repair work done to that jacket would lower the value and ruin the historic integrity. Well, that's my opinion.

what historic integrity?
the jacket might have been still new in 1945
and got ruined in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s.

We can make it look like it was in 1945 again, i.e. almost like new.

Also FYI, BK have repaired many originals that sold at higher prices than bought.

Where possible it is always best not to replace original parts of an A2, unless they are beyond repair. This Monarch already has replaced knits/waistband and fitting the correct 1942 spec ones would not de-value it. Similarly installing the correct Talon zipper would be a sensible thing to do. I notice the lining has been poorly repaired at the neck. This could be professionally done, without replacing the entire lining. The decal does appear to have been painted over at some stage.

Whatever. Never miss an advertising opportunity, do you ? BK being shoved down our throats all over the forum is getting boring.

Platon, you were offering a free repair right? If you got it to offer, offer away. Not everyone is here just to offer opinions, hell, everyone's got one of those.
