Mid 1930s Monarch Co. Leather Trucker Jacket

Hello all,

This is my first time posting on this forum, as well as a first time leather jacket owner. I'm a huge fan of the 1930-1940 style of leather jacket, and so a few months ago I purchased this coat on Ebay. While there are flaws, I have conditioned it with a double coat of Obernauf's conditioner to rejuvenate it. I thought the members of this forum would appreciate these images of a piece I love.

If possible, I would also highly value any additional advice for preservation or care for a jacket like this, as I truly want to ensure its longevity. Thanks!

The m-39 Hershey pull talon zipper would date the jacket circa 1939-1941. Personally, I really like these pre war civie jackets. They ooze style and class, while being straight forward, and usually made of no frills construction. Ya lucked out, gudadchai, in that finding one that is still in wearable condition, and fits, is difficult at best.

Thanks all for the responses and words, definitely gonna love this jacket for a long time.

Gonna get the zipper repaired and hopefully conserve the left sided Talon Pull and stop soon. Looking forward to when it's finished and fully wearable, which then Ill repair the small cuts in the fabric!
