The only one of the original 7 to do so, although they all made it into space-although it took Deke Slayton considerably longer than the rest. Note only one leather flight jacket-Scott Carpenter's G-1. I reckon Wally Schirra's sporting a pair of Redwings.

I'm a little bit flummoxed by the colors of this photograph. The yellow and orange shades look fine but there seems to be too much blue. The match between the jacket and flightsuit seems just about perfect but way too light to be an L-2A/K-2A combo. Accordingly, I'd bet against Glenn's jacket being an L-2A. In addition, the round collars and blackened zippers are incorrect for any K-2A I've ever seen. I'd say the guys wearing jackets with roundels are either sporting D-model L-2Bs over sage K-2B flightsuits or dedicated grey-blue NASA garb with the NASA patch sewn on the jacket sleeve.
