That guy did an hour long PBS doccumentary called, "A Fighter Pilots Story".
Excellent program if you can find a copy.

He was also featured in Ken Burns's PBS documentary "The War."

He had some pretty harrowing stories to tell about flying P-47s and some of his fellow pilots who didn't make it.
