Could this be the real thing but re- labelled?
If so its a heck of a bargain but too small for me.

I'm afraid not. It's a civi G-1, with side entry pockets which were not a feature of issued B-1s. The Scovill zipper first appeared on G-1s from the late 1960s and I suspect this jacket dates to this decade rather than the 1950s.
