That's been for sale for a while. It seems a bit pricy for a late contract L-2b despite the condition. If it were an earlier model at that price I would snap it up...and wear it.
Certain earlier models would be worth that price. In fact, I've paid more for some of mine. Personally I wouldn't open a sealed original but that's mainly because I have over 15 of the damn things! :lol:
In my opinion a '70-dated example is worth perhaps half what he's asking, and then only in mint condition (as this one no doubt is). The sealed package adds appeal at some level, but creates a conundrum at the same time. If you're going to open it you've paid too much, if you're not going to open it you have a rather unwieldy paperweight for which you've paid too much. I was lucky to have picked up my sealed '76 Greenbrier for next to nothing in a package trade, so for me it's no big deal to leave it that way--especially with so many wearers already.
