There is a very interesting story about this photo,please note the nazi pilot in the center...it is Oberstleutnant Heinrich "Heinz" Bär and is it possible that he is wearing A-2 leather jacket,i think???. It’s a pretty incredible story: Boeing B-17F nicknamed "Miss Ouachita" of 91st Bomb Group, Germany, near the Dutch border, February 1944, the Germans attempted to raise the plane and use her in their experimental KG 200 squadron, but it was strafed and destroyed by P-51s.

i found those color photos on ''flickr'', they are part of a photo collection from a guy who have if i remember well +- 900 photos about war usaaf brazilian aso aso , i visit a part of all those photos and select just a few.
i waste many hours on such photos collection to found and share some good one.
mainly (adn also mostly) i simply made a search with the terms USAAF or pilot or gunner aso aso aso.... or on google image or on yahoo.

mostly the same photo come again but sometimes there are some new one.

You are quite right the B-10 kind of grows on you. I picked up a BR oldin dennis model that is in the "shop" right now for some new knits. It is a really nice jacket and has a crown zipper as well.
