Just picked up an M422a, the Popeye VP-ML-6 one, super excited! Anyone remember when they got their first eastman?

Type M422A :: Popeye® VP-ML-6

Originally starting out in July of 1943, this squadron’s first designation was VB-146 (bombing squadron). After going through a number of other designation changes without any recorded insignia it finally became VP-ML-6 (Medium Patrol Squadron) on the 15th November 1946.

My house A2, thats all they made then, 1990! Showing my age now but cost in the region of £140 - got the invoice somewhere and still got the jacket that fits too!!!

I bought mine 4 years ago, this is an incredible A2 with a magnificent character, the Star Sportswear in size 40. Unfortunately, a year without flying and working on the ground, I gained a little weight and if I don’t lose it I will have to sell this beauty.
