This has nothing to do with vintage leather jackets but thought I'd post it anyways. Never forget.

I can't possibly imagine Robert's face when he learned that all but a few of his shots were destroyed in the lab due to carelessness. :(

Last year's summer vacation was in Normandy...needless to say that we went to the beaches...hard to imagine what happened in that beautiful landscape in the summer of '44.

Thanks Tim
My dad passed away in 2004. I had the opportunity to take his burial flag to Normandy to the American Cemetary located behind Omaha Beach . The Cemetary Currator at the time was a great fellow by the name of Fred Rhoads. It had been set up in advance through the US Embassy in Paris. When I got there he knew who I was and made things so great for me and my dads memory . He ran my dads flag up onto the US Flag pole that you always see at the end of Saving Private Ryan, and then played taps over the loud speaker system. Everyone in the cemetary stopped and placed their hands over their hearts or saluted. I couldn’t hold it back and I lost it in tears. My only regret was that I didn’t take him back when he was alive.

Thank you so much for sharing that Burt, that's truly moving.

You're old man would be so very proud of you for doing that.
