Jim Lovell G-1 Jacket, Identification help please

Another thing that's been killing me...
Can anyone help me ID Jim Lovell's G-1?
I'm pretty sure its a Flying Equipment Co. PX G-1 (Star Sportswear) due to the iconic FEC non-mil spec zipper pull.
What do you guys think?

Looking at the pic from John’s site, you may well be right, although it seems odd for a serving Navy officer like him to have a PX jacket. Possibly it wasn’t his only one, or the result of some shipboard horse-trading. Pete Conrad had a phantom patch like that on his G-1-I have one myself.

Id like to revisit this thread inspired by a recent picture of Jim in his G1 on Facebook. I think the pockets are more scalloped on the PX jacket and I've found that early 50's G-1's came with the same style zipper pulls. Thoughts?

Vintage 50's USN J-7823 AER G-1 Brown Leather Bomber Jacket L W Foster 42 hc1 | eBay

Fur collar that is not removable. Both areas are shown in my pictures and I showed the worst rubs (both shoulders show rubs and the bottom part of one arm in particular). Length (collar seam to bottom of jacket): 26".
