Over 650 pieces of memorabilia of former President John F. Kennedy will be auctioned on Feb. 17, 2013, including this size 44, leather "Air Force One Bomber Jacket" from 1962. The items are from the estate of David F. Powers, special assistant to Kennedy and the first curator of the JFK Library. This year is the 50th anniversary of his assassination. The jacket is estimated at $20,000 to $40,000. (John McInnis Auctioneers)

Since JFK was a Naval officer, it's fitting he had a G-1 for his presidential flight jacket. :D

Hmmmm.....does that mean too many scantily clad models for one guy to manage or is it that one is intently focused on trying to manage you!

Ike would have had a A2 probably, being an army fella.
I was born and raised in Dallas. At the time I was 4 we lived just outside Dallas when the burbs were truly out
there. THere was pasture land between our town of Garland and Downtown Dallas. Now its one big city.
Well on that day I had to get
my booster shots (they still hurt) and we were at Baylor Medical center in Dallas. There werent many Dr.s in Garland
then. So when we left we had to go through downtown Dallas. I remember all the people on the streets EVERYWHERE.
I asked my mom why are there so many people everywhere. She said because the President is coming to Dallas. I saw
the people standing everywhere along the path. By the time we got home about 40 minutes later, he had been shot.
I was so afraid that a killer was loose. I had no way of grasping at 4 years old that the chances of him coming to my house
were so small it wasnt worth worrying about. But I hid under the couch for an hour before my mom got me to come
out. I have the Paper from the Dallas Times Herald that afternoon that came out with the news he'd been shot. Dallas
had 2 papers then the afternoon one the herald and the Dallas Morning News. THe morning news didnt get the story
till the next day. I have the herald from that afternoon. Probably worthless but I still have it.
