In khakis and wind whipped ties, campaign hats at the ready, fifteen of Langley Field's "Buccaneers" gather beneath a Keystone B-5 (or is it a B-6) Panther on July 28, 1932.
The picture is from the collection of Capt. (later Col.) Robert Cronau, top center. A native of Kewanee, Ill. (where, as it happens, several members of my family were born), he served in both world wars and died in 1996, aged 99.
