Showa did a lot of motorcycle stuff including boots and helmets
Best pair of motorcycle cycle boots I had young was from a company called Goldtop leathers, wore them on my first bike bought by my parents for my 17th birthday, could have bought me a modern one but my dad being a motorcycle buff bought me a BSA bantem in original royal mail post office red, yayyy

I nearly bought a pair of their boots once in a charity shop-talked myself out of them, they were too ‘old school’ for me. If I ever get my Vincent Black Shadow, I’ll be on the lookout for a pair.

I do remember Ron Haslam! I was into punk, indie and goth when I was a teenager, I wasn’t encouraged to have a motorbike. That didn’t happen until I was 40, cue a lot of cries of ‘mid-life crisis!’ That was when I gave up diving, bought a motorbike, started a band and got into stuff like Led Zeppelin and Hendrix.
