It's a repro and MA-1s were not produced in blue.

how can folks justify this???? a crook or just ill informed???? ok crook might be a strong word...buyer beware..maybe someone will pay 850 for it...

Up to the buyer to justify it. I bought a blue MA-1 for about 30- a few months ago, actually about a 30- trade value with tag in the pocket thinking the guy didn't know what he had, I still don't think he knew. But on the other hand neither did I and I learned a 30- lesson. If some guy has to learn an 850- lesson, so be it crook or not. I will always maintain that it's up to the buyer / collector to know what they're doing before dropping any amount of cash. Of course, nothing wrong with informing this seller to see if he does the right thing and busting his blls if he doesn't. Completely justified for us do do so from here in my opinion.
