Irvin ELC battle of britain model (size 42)

I just saw this : a very nice Eastman Leather Irvin jacket (like new) at a very good price: 480 euros
I hesitated to contact the seller, but I'll stay quiet...

I hesitated...
The size 42 should fit me in the shoulders, but I'm tall and since the hirvin is a short jacket, it might not work for the length.
And then I like Irvin jackets not too "heavy" like the WPG model. The Irvin ELC is beautiful and more authentic but I like it less.

... don't buy a jacket just because it's a good deal.

(I'm about to send my money to John Chapman for a B-6... but that's a secret)

The Irvin is too warm for the south of France... (same thing for a B-3, ANJ-4, M445,...)
The B-6 is in my opinion a better choice.
If a nice B-6 (at the right size) appears on the second-hand market, I would be happy to buy it. But it is very rare...

A new Good Wear B-6 is about the same price as an Eastman B-6 and because of the brexit, I would pay customs duties in any case. Between GW and ELC, the choice is quickly made...
