Interesting original A-2

"Provenance" could apply to about any unmarked WWII item.
To me this is the perfect example of "buy the steak, not the sizzle."
Not that it isn't all true, but imagine trying to resell this as historically relevant. There are more answers offered than questions asked.
Bottom line, I'd value it only for the jacket which I guess is what you asked about.
blah, blah, blah,

This kind of reminds me of something I heard someone say in regard to the validity of something, but said in regard to autographs, and their validity. The autograph is only 100% authentic to the person that saw the other person sign it. I guess the same could be said of these jackets, that it was truly authentic to the person that wore it, and the people that saw him wear it.

Same way I feel folks. Never understood autograph hounds. That stuff means nothing to me. It's funny how many times I've talked to people when they show me something that's been handed down through family generations and they become a little disappointed when I show them the item is not as old as they thought. ;)

This jacket is unique, but thought it was interesting with the stamp inside the jacket and crown zipper. Can anyone identify the contract? Sorry, I'm not as up on these A-2 differences as some here. ;)

Looks very much like a rough wear. Asked the detailed measurement just now. Thanks Weasel loader!
