Many FAA crew were trained in the USA when trying out for American aircraft such as the Avenger, Wildcat, Hellcat etc and managed to obtain or issued with USN flight jackets. The FAA/RN top brass weren't happy about them wearing them but some got away with it; I would guess this is such an example. Where is the pic from?
