Interesting interview with some 354th FG pilots...

Haven't got time just now Brett but I will definitely be watching that this evening after the kids have hit the sack.

Yeah, its not long... But I found it a fascinating insight into these young guys. One can almost perceive a little shyness being interviewed on the spot, but at the same time... they are fighter pilots and cool as iced peanuts. Rather cavalier about their 'job'... That young, indestructible fighter pilot confidence, is clearly apparent.

Great one Brett, thanks for sharing. They were definitely tired, hadn't gotten any sleep the night before (Were they covering Market Garden?). Also, I think that TV/ radio interviews were quite uncommon then, enough to make even a hot shot throttle jock a little nervous.

At home I have an mp3 that's a short interview with a Texan P-51 pilot based in Foggia. I'll try to find it this evening, as he was probably the coolest sounding fighter pilot ever! Deep voice, cool as ice, full of confidence, and a Southern drawl.
