Interesting CBI A-2

though it was done, it is very unusual to see the back of a cbi a-2 painted. the replaced zipper is odd in that most of the time zippers were replaced with later made zippers, usually talons. i have seen 339th a-2 pix and the chest patches have been some kind of embroidered cloth affairs, though i have heard of painted leather variants. my guess is, with out having it in hand, and testing the paint, that the art work is post wwll, quite possibly fairly contemporary. anyhoo, pretty cool looking.

I agree with Vic here. The artwork looks decidedly suspect.
