I own this jacket in GW "dark russet" not this almost black dark color which I do really like. The price reflects the addition of an original - non repro zipper.

Mr. Chapman was kind enough to exchange his for my name tag after I have ordered three of them from MASH Japan (on his advice). Back then it seemed like a huge investment. But look how times have changed. There is no doubt, though, those are great jackets!

If you own this exact jacket with the CBI patch John made, its the only GW that I have asked about buying that was already sold - I MISSED it. I love this one - perfect as is - love the patch

That jacket is what got me hooked on the Acme. the patch was made by john and I would be surprised if it ever comes up for sale again. A striking example of a GW

Hi Guys,
yes, I do understand your comments. I had one look at the ACME and was taken by the finish and the contrasting knits. It is a mismatched hide which is really interesting and I personally think it adds to the charm of the jacket. I kinda have the same upper body structure as JC (minus the waist side, where I am definitely more pronounced) so I kinda had an idea on how it would fit. I guess the only back draw is that my physique is not quite the slender one a jacket like an A-2 would ask for. But it wears very comfortably. JC has kept the leather patch on it and even used the very same stitching holes for the name tag. Since I think JC has used his own measurements to craft the ACME I have used those exact ones on another jacket I ordered (Monarch 23378, LHJ 012). Another great feeling jacket. Let's see if I can dig up some more images for reference.

I am glad we are sharing these interests because not many people understand those leather/ flight jacket topic and/ or are willing to pay these prices for great quality garments.
