I found my God-Father's A2

After posting my bio, then reading some of the welcome letters, I started doing a little internet research. I remembered a strange patch with a mosquito on it. I found a posting with the bomber squadron patches for the 306th Bomber Group. My God-Father was in the 369th "Fightin' Bitin" Bomber Squadron. I remember that patch. I went to a couple of 8th Air Force sites and found one that had pdf's with photos of crews. My God-Father, Grover Barnett, was in two of those photos! Suddenly, I was looking back almost 70 years at a skinny, very young man who, 20+ years later would talk to me about his experiences just before I left for Viet Nam. I couldn't believe it. I may never see his jacket again. But here it is for all times, frozen somewhere in 1943 or 1944 on the very same young man who wore it.

I would have never looked if you all hadn't asked me. Thanks!!! I know the photos aren't all that clear but would anyone care to hazzard a guess on what type of jacket it was?

Wow, that must have been a great moment, looking at those photos and seeing your god father! Congratulations. And now for the actual jacket ... :) Wouldn't that be great!
