It is funny but no one will buy it as an original.

hellooooooooo
not really in accordance with you.

some years ago  i was sure by reading this listing it's a genuine USAAF jacket - WW2 era.
and pay the price to have this Avirex.
because i was just beginning the USAAF collection. and of course not well informed on what is real or fake (repro).
so i think that such a listing must be erased by ebay
of course, we are deeply in this collection theme and of course now i can make the difference with this label (Avirex) but it's another question if someone place a good repro (ELC or other...) and affirm in his listing that's it's a genuine WW2 jacket. i won't be sure and have to request your help to ID the jacket.
welll you see what i mean....
it's everytime funny to see such a bad listing , i also smile when reading it but if it's me the guy without knowledge; it's something else.

my problem with such listing is that i consider it's not a just a wrong listing, it's just a LIE.
the vendor give wrong informations and he know that grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
and, i can accept an error but i can't accept a lie, such vendor must be banished of ebay.

byeeeee

i write the vendor with this

hello huy,

your listing is wrong, this is surely not a WW2 jacket.
or you're not good informed or you lie.
make your choice, but if you're not a lier, please correct your listing. thanks . dujardin05

and this is his answer

I'm totally offended by the "liar" comment. I was misinformed and did not do this listing to falsify anything. I will revise the listing, and you should be a little more knowledgable about all of the circumstances before you send your e-mails. I have "lied" to anyone about an e-bay listing.

No you just cut to the point and left him with "if". People believe they deserve the benefit of the doubt even when they stand to profit. His being offended should cause shame - not anger at his accuser. He was wrong and you are correct.

Here's what I wrote to him:

As a collector of USAAF, this is NOT and authentic WWII jacket but rather a reproduction - and a poor one at that. This is the general consensus of A-2 collectors. No offense but reading the description was humorous.
If the "old man" says it's WWII era, he is wrong and has obviously not dealt with real A-2s. They were never contracted in lambskin by any supplier and Avirex never had a military contract until 1987. Heck, Avirex didn't even exist until 1975!
What you were told is not true. And was you are suggesting is misleading. Please revise your ad.

His response:

Thank you for the information.

Looks like he pulled the auction. He must have been bombarded with Emails!
