Not an easy answer John. We have everything here - I can go skiing by driving less than one hour from my house. I have friends with mountain homes here and it gets cold as hell in the winter - snow and all.
In Pasadena, we get weather in the 30ºs (f) and that's cold enough for me to put one on. Of course it's not as useful as it would be if I were further north, but having one for travels and colder days here is very useful. Of course, the lighter jackets get much more use...

Agreed. But that said, I DO miss the four-seasons (not the one with Frankie Valli) :lol:
I some day will be back in such a climate. I was born and raised in snow and rain, so I have a need for it on occasion...
