• The diameter of the stitch holes "circle" is around 5 inch.There are also two other spots (upper parts of both sleeves ,visible on the pictures) where 2.5 inch wide patches have been removed.I haven't noticed them as I didn't wear the jacket.I've got the jacket from a friend just recently.The stitches from the smaller patches are only visible from a very close distance and they don't really affect the great look of this jacket - they actually prove that this is a real USAAF issue.

Oh, I didn't even mean that the guy is a bozo for trying to pass this jacket off as official issue. He stole my copy by cutting and pasting the prose from one of my listings!
