Can anyone guess who this jacket may belong to? Has more combat flying hours than anyone in American WW2 History!!
When asked by reporters about combat. He replied "There's nothing unusual in the missions. They all follow the same pattern. Either you get on Jerry's tail, or he get's on yours. That's all"

GREAT to read that story. The ribbon bar was the key. The British DFC threw me. Was moving into the 4th FG history.
That's a good guess, ribbon racks are very similar, but not the correct answer! Gabby has one Distinguished Service Cross this man has two, also Gabby has prisoner of war ribbon, this man doesn't. This American worked his way to Europe via Canadian air and then over the pond to RAF.
