Hi Guys, can anyone tell me more about this Jacket? Did it produce during the Korean War 50s? The jacket looks legit to me but the patches seem too new, perhaps add on later? Also the USN perforate was stacked on instead of the flip sideways. Thanks

They look like Sean Collins’ patches, which are beautiful, but they don’t belong on that (also very nice) jacket, which is a 1957 contract. Most of us wouldn’t put modern patches on an old original, I certainly wouldn’t, but others aren’t so particular.

I have 2x50’s Caglecos one of which is defo’57 and both have perf’d wind flaps although the perf’s on each are different! Both of course USN but one reads correctly as viewed face on, the letter U at the top then S and N below whereas the other you need turn the jacket 45 degrees to read left to right like normal!!

it's quite rare to see the USN stacked up, isn't it? Most of them are sideway, you need to turn the jacket to read.

Hi every one ! I am new here. I am French and sorry to write not really good... I just bought and i received my Caglero G1 7823 contract N383-39321A. If the contract 48082A is from 1957, mine could be before logically ? Collar is in brown sheep but i read that first Caglero had black collar ? So i wonder if 48082A (black collar) even if bigger number than 39321A would be older ? My Caglero hasnot USN written under collar neither written perf's on wind flap... Why ? And what is the good zipper used by Caglero ? Conmar or Talon ?Someone could explain me to answer my questions, please ? Thanks.

That was a transition period. I’ve had Cagleco jackets from the (aer) series over the years with the stencil, with the perforated windflap and even a few with both stencil & punched flap.
How about with neither? My Monarch has neither.

I speculated in the G-1(ish) thread that maybe mine was issued to the Coast Guard? Any insight there?

My Cagleco 1957 has no stamped USN nither USN under collar. I read that it used Conamr Zip Number 5 black zipper... Mine has one but removed by old "Fermeture Eclair" (with old logo not with "EP" logo)... And it's difficult to find one original made by Conmar. I have seen here that Mash Japan but at the moment it is "sold out"... I have been waiting so !

I have just one question about zipper Colmar : which side should the cursor be when facing the jacket? To the right or to the left ? because I saw that it was sometimes on the right and sometimes on the left in the photos ? Thanks....
