Help ID G-1 Style

I inherited this from my grandfather. He was in the Navy in WW2 and commanded one of the landing craft. No idea if the jacket is from that era. Label is worn away. Is this worth restoring? Leather still supple but smells like mold. Zipper says Talon. On the label you can see NYC and the last letter of some word is a T.

I’m just wondering if this is worth restoring. And if anyone might know something about it.

100% Schott, there doesn't seem to have the Schott logo embossed on the snaps, does it?

Look inside the pockets for a model code label, if you find one you will be able to identify the exact date etc, personally it's a 60's made jacket.

There used to be a forum on the Schott website where anyone could ask the exact same question and get an answer from Schott directly.

Because of the mouton, go for a professional for cleaning.
