Hello identifying this jacket

Hey yall, first time poster.
I saw this jacket online and the seller describes it as german officer's jacket from the war period. What do you think?

Uhh...I'll defer to people who are more familiar with this topic, but that assessment sounds quite dubious to me. A lot of the design elements look typical of post-war Americana to me.

I'd lean more to steer hide if it's a late 20th century design.

Those are YKK zipper pulls. It's probably from the 80s or 90s. Those braided epaulets are typical of Germany jackets but this jacket was probably made in Pakistan.

It's a motorcycle jacket style, it has nothing to do with the military or officers.

Yeah, that was my inkling, but this is outside of my area of knowledge, so I wasn't sure.

Why do you say ir was made on Pakistan?

Because that's were most of these were made. Overall quality of these mass produced jackets is mediocre at best.
