GW Bronco Pocket, Zipper Tab

I'm relapsing into the internet again today- just browsed The Forum- doesn't seem too interesting today. Same ol'...

Thought I'd share a picture of my GW Bronco pocket- it's details like this that make me unable to buy any other typw of repro. The sewing is perfect for a Bronco with thick thread, the pocket flap snap backing is round but casually off a bit- exactly like a Bronco original I owned. The shape of the flap is so subtle, so right on to the original... Wonkiness is there- but purposeful, not accidental and again- like original industrial sewing. The hardest thing in making these jackets IMO is getting that right- good sewing done very quickly.

Hate to say it but no one else comes close!

Check out the zipper tab- notice the correct angled reinforcement:

I can't post any pictires of the jacket worn yet because no one's here to snap the photo but I will if I can. The fit is perfect and proportioned true to originals.

Agree ZZ! The stitching looks perfect and that unique Bronc pocket flap is dead on.
Does John get the Bronco lining correct? Original Broncs have a unique tightly woven darker brown/less red color lining than many other makers which sets them apart, IMHO.

John made my Bronco just before yours. Know exactly what you mean. Just total perfection! Perfect Bronco fit and feel. I prefer it over my Dubow which really surprised me. And you're right NO ONE can build a repro like JC, PERIOD!!!

To be absolutely honest- this jacket has a very tightly woven dark ochre colored lining which is different from an original I owned. If you like tight- this one is. My original had a looser more burlapy lining:

Great observations…waiting at pick up yesterday and found the different thread colours John used on my Dubow, if your happy can post up the pocket flaps and zipper tab for comparison

Grant John has a new source for cuffs and lining , they are both notably a big improvement

The BRONCO in my home. the pockets are aligned but the bottom is not.
Nothing is sewn straight but once worn you don't see anything.
