Grand Day Out

The GIB of the F-15 is Bud Anderson, who piloted P-51's - including Old Crow. This shot is from 2001, I don't know if it's been posted before. The Eagle is from Lakenheath, I think they're still operating from there.

Very cool, I'll bet he'd never imagined he'd have a ride like that (at the time) 57 years ago.

Bud Anderson talks about this ride and has a pic in his book "To Fly and Fight". His son Jim is also a pilot and flew with him. I have this photo autographed by Bud himself!<a href="http://s301.photobucket.com/albums/nn49/fraazierjo/?action=view&current=topgunsphoto.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn49/fraazierjo/topgunsphoto.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I've had the pleasure of meeting Bud on several occasions over the years at symposiums and AFAA reunions and he is a class act. If you ever have the chance to see him speak, he has some great stories.

For those that have never visited Bud's site, here's the link.

Thanks Deeb7 for fixing my attempted photo post - I'll figure it out yet. All four of these guys personified the best! Thanks also for doing the same for my other post. As you saw, I was scolded for that one - quite rightly. No lack of respect was ever intended in ""Lotsa A-2"s."

Gone, but not forgotten.
you're welcome, Jo ... you must be getting close. :)

Just place the cursor on the picture that you want, select IMG, and copy/paste.

Hi, frazierjo,

That wasn't meant as a scolding - I apologize if it came across that way - but help is only a PM away.
