Good Wear 46 and a Bill Kelso 44

Gone, but not forgotten.
Oh, it's motelbuyer ... he's been selling A-2s on eBay for as long as I've been looking. He's had some great originals, but sometimes ends early.

the funny thing is that the way he makes his main photos with the jackets on the mannequin wearing the glasses and cap, they all look like originals.

so SONOFAFLYER buys the jacket . . . .then it gets relisted under MOTELBUYER . . .(both accounts established in 1998) . .The same guy under two names? . . . MOTELBUYER's completed auctions show other jackets that SONOFAFLYER purchased . . .eg Bill Kelso . . .and a 46 Aero . . .

I've no problem with the flipping really . . .but why always the same story . .about a veteran and local moving job . .? Maybe constantly flipping leather draws people to his other items as well . .?

His listing generally say he picked up the flights at an estate sale... Seems shady to me. I was questioning if he was running up the price on the Superior Flight Apparel A2 he sold earlier this week. Someone with 6 feedbacks ended up winning the auction...

In my many years going to estate auctions and flea markets, I have seen maybe two aviator's jackets total. I think this "estate sale" shtick is pure B.S..

It's really weird seeing one of my old A-2's on e-bay. Kind of a thrill to see the thing in someone else's pcs and know that I made it...Guess it's a good thing that they are being moved to new owners as the originals get more jackets to try.

That one was horsehide BTW, not steer. One of my early Donigers....

Cheers

I totally agree! Estate sale is commonly used to lure people into thinking it's coming directly from some WW2 vets trunk that's been in his attic since he came home from the war.

I always stick to this great advice, "buy the item and NEVER the story". ;)
