Keep shipping cost that way! I'm in the Midwest!
I'll be watching closely on this one. I already have my "look" planned out for my PPL.

David,

I only stipulate UPS Worldwide Saver just in case the value is over the maximum limit of $600 that USPS will insure for. I will be happy to ship USPS to save the buyer money as long as we can come to terms regarding insurance. I would be happy if the final value were over $600 on this GW and I had to worry about this problem, but most likely USPS will do, so feel free to bid if it strikes your fancy!

Dave,

I like your reasoning! I hope it goes to the Midwest then! ;)

David,

Ask and you shall receive! I just added the USPS shipping option and I just checked that Australia is:

US $43.45 for USPS Priority Mail International Medium Flat Rate BoxTM. This does not include insurance, which I think is approximately $2 per $100 of value. Thanks for the great feedback again!

Perfect, now that's a deal, and it's the same $43.45 for us in NZ. :)

The other problem with UPS, and FedEx, is that you will always pay the maximum in taxes, and duties. They pay it up front, and then add on another charge for advancing the money.

Oh stop it, Dave ... you know it will be too small for you. ;)

Actually, you might be right. I don't have any repos at all so no too sure. I pulled a few jackets out and asked Linda to measure them on me. Then I had the bright idea to measure a actual A-2. And why was I putting them on? Duh! My size 44 RW fits me pretty well and it appears almost identical in measurements laying flat.
You'd think that sizes would be pretty close across the board but........

Thanks again for the feedback. I just posted links to high resolution pictures of the ones I posted on Ebay. It's at the bottom of the same listing in case you want to take a closer look at the details. I hope it's not too small for Dave!

Great price! Unfortunately, I had to bid by phone so my snipe didn't work. Was outbid by $10 in the last few seconds.
Maybe the winner won't pay.

Sorry about that Dave! I could honestly say that if I had gotten $10 less, I would have still been very content. Unfortunately, the winner has already paid, but if he doesn't like it for any reason and wants to return it you'll be the first one to know. Thanks for bidding!

That's the way the old ball bounces. I'm glad you got a decent price for it - one of the higher prices I've seen on a repro. It sure was nice though.
I'll just keep on looking.

I did like this one. I was on the fence about selling it, but I figured I should do it before I put any additional wear on it. I'll keep you posted in case I decide to sell the GW 1939 Werber in the Japanese HH that I have. That one is exactly the same dimensions, but the sleeves fit me just perfectly (meaning they are about 1" shorter than this one. But the horse hide is much thicker and stiffer, and to tell the truth, I don't care for it as much. That's why I'm on John's queue for another in a Horween in December, but this time a 16160!

I can't figure out this sleeve length stuff ... I'd decided that this one was an inch too short. :?

David,

You look pretty tall in your profile picture, so maybe the sleeve would have been a little short, but I can't say with 100% certainty that that would have been the case. The 1402-P that I sold was the only jacket that John made where I had him exactly copy every dimension of my original Size 42 Werber 1402-P in every respect, so if the original in size 42 would have had sleeves to short for you, then this one would have too, but on the other hand....Oh, well! That's why we buy so many darned jackets looking for the holy grail, but then we realize that the whole fun of it is to serially fall in love with the next "THE ONE".
