Give me your critique of this jacket

I find Martin Lane to be a good solid jacket. I don't rate it at the top, but certainly well above the bottom. They tend to be of a thick goatskin and were a big maker in the D series. A fair price IMO...enjoy!

I just bought this G-1 on the bay for $152. I'm not familiar with the brand. Give me your honest take on it. If it was a bad buy don't hesitate to say so. It looked in pretty decent shape for being 40 years old. Any info on the maker would be appreciated.

Hi, FL,

Even if you had to put in a new lining, new cuffs, new waistband and a new mouton collar, you'd still be ahead of the game.

Repro new G-1s from US A start at $400.00 and you'd still not have a genuine issued flight jacket.

You made out like a bandit - :D :D :D

Of course we're expecting the obligatory pics when it arrives.

Cheers,

I am getting one as well same year in almost unissue condition. They look like solid jackets. I would say you got a good deal.
