The Gal on the left is wearing the patch of VMF-114 a Marine unit .Unusal photo as the aircraft is in civil markings and I think both of thier jackets are civil also , they don't appear to be military issue ,but I don't know all the types.............................
That photo probably has a very uniques story behind it if anyone has it please post about it , thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!

the flying sisters

Rome, GA
twin sisters Elisabeth (right) and France Woods, toss a coin to see whose turn it is to take the plane up.
only 18, both girls have private pilote licenses, and own this 2seater Aeronca Chief monoplane, presented to them by their parents when they graduated from high school.
the girls took lessons at Stephens Air School Columbia MO.
last year this year they attend the university of Georgia and fly in the afternoons.
now that they have made their parents air-minded, the girls are planning to buy a larger, faster ship and start at school of instruction after the war.
