G1 BRILL BROTHERS latest aquisition

Following the advice of Burt to rather buy original than a repro i browsed through "the bay" again and found this BRILL BROTHERS in my size and even patched ...

Knittings look pretty shredded but otherwise the condition seems to look good

the auction was hosted by a vendor which obviously does not have an idea - proposed that the patches would come off easily ... - c'mon to remove the patches would be kinda of a "sacrileg" at least for me - authentic jacket with authentic namebadge and squadron-patch ...

asking price was kinda low already and since i put the jacket on watchlist i got an offer less 15% of the initial price

i already own two "BRILL BROTHERS" - 1 which was issued to the USN and another one as a commercial jacket almost 100% identical to a G1

Maybe someone could give me an indication about the maker year as well as with the squadron patch - tried GOOGLE but didn't find that particular squadron-sign with the "HERMES" on it

Let me know your opinion about the jacket

Great find
You might try doing a some research on the name that’s on the name tag as well.
Thanks for the hint Burt - I already started searching

The jacket belonged to an Enlisted Aircrewman. He was a Chief Petty Officer Aviation Electrician's Mate - just trying to find more details.

For the squadron sign I got support on FB: the patch is for the Navy Transport Squadron 24, 6th Fleet.
