We know so much about A-2 manufacturers, even the location of the (former) factories. But I couldn’t say the same about G-1 contractors. Does anyone know anything about the history or location of Brill Bros, or Martin Lane for example?

some like g&f, w&g, spalding, and star glove mfg were around since the 1930s [earlier?], making civy, and mil jackets, ie: a-1s, m series, g series, and a-2s. like a-2 makers. the g-1 makers were located all around the us during wwll. it would seem that there were companies that invented themselves during wwll to supply the war effort, although they too morphed from civy production into mil production. the aota book has pretty accurate dates for m and g series production, but not much more.
