There was a store in my city that sold this stuff, 1955-59. I do remember the B-3's for sale, A-6 boots and all manner of WW-2 surplus item, but not A-2's although they may have been in the store. My Dad bought us kids helmets and liners for 9 cents and some C and K rations.

Great advertisement as greetings from the past, thanks for sharing. It’s a pity we didn’t find these times when we were selling surpluses ....The P-51 cost $ 52.606 in 1944, and after a while they, like many combat but outdated birds, were generally dismantled for pins.

The ‘B-3’ is an AN-J-4, and I don’t know what the Navy jacket is, because it’s not an M-422a/AN-J-3a etc. Don’t know what you’d have got if you went for the ‘plain back’ Navy jacket. $4.75 for a B-2 cap!
