FS Real McCoy Real McQueen A-2

This seller has had at least 2 other A2 auctions the past few months...both GW A2's.
Neither sold.
Started the auctions with low prices...then pulled them a few days before the auction was set to end with bids in the low/average range.
I contacted him about one of the jackets after he pulled the auction. He wanted more for the jacket than I was willing to pay.
I referred him here to try to sell through our classifieds and to see what how the market was doing...never showed up as far as I know.

Does anyone know if Toys McCoy and Real McCoy are the same company? I have Japanese catalogs from both companies and only Toys McCoy advertises a McQueen A-2. They call it the Virgil Hilts model and it has a different style label than the one in the ebay auction. In the Toys McCoy catalogs I have McQueen A-2s appear to be horsehide like the original. Is this one rare because it's goatskin?

Not my auction, but that's my original custom jacket. Not the best pics. Paddy was a pleasure to work with.

TM and RM are different companies, from what I understand.

Very True

David (if only he was still here) had a posting with the history on this very topic age's ago

Supposedly "sold".
I seem to recall this sellers other A2 auctions running the same course....relatively low starting asking price...little bidding....auction ended before time is up. Previously the seller pulled the auctions....and I believe the items were listed as "sold".
Interesting auction style.

It appears the fabric that was previously seen on the collar stand has been removed, why? Hard to tell from the long shot though.

Back on with another seller? Feedback swaps seem a little weird..

Jacket fetched a mighty $374. I took a look at the seller's completed items and the number of jackets this guy 'sells' over and over, let alone his other repeatedly sold items, leads me to a belief that others might be colluding to drive up his sales.

Maybe old motelbuyer had an eBay enforced suspension and started this one and it just took over. Very dodgy nonetheless.
